How to diagnose a computer that is signaling red light and beeps
My name is Yendé Rostand, a trainee at the vocational training center for young people in Baré. I do computer maintenance. Today I will explain how to make a diagnosis on a computer signaling a red light and beeps. First of all, we will recall that the beeps from the red LEDs are signals from the failures related to the machine. For such a situation, the diagnosis is simple. So here it's about a hardware failure inside my computer including the RAMs. Having a screwdriver, I use it if possible to disassemble my computer by what other computer does not have screws. The diagnosis here is done in two possible ways:
If it is a computer with a RAM or that has several RAM strips, then I change it with another RAM to make sure it is in good working order. Without yet closing my case, I turn on my computer first; and if there are no more beeps and I can then close it.
If it is a computer with a motherboard having several RAM strips and several RAMs on these strips; most often four rams, then, I proceed by elimination of RAM memories from the last to the first until I identify the defective memory. Either I remove the defective one and I keep those in good condition or I change it and finally I turn my machine back on. No more bright red or error beeps. This is how I manage to make a diagnosis on a computer with a red light and emitting beeps.
